Tony Ferriera

I consider myself a motivator. In 2017, I had a massive heart attack called a ‘Widow Maker’. With this type of heart attack, there’s only a 3% survival rate. I flatlined for 10 minutes, and was resuscitated in the ambulance as we pulled into Summerlin Hospital. Summerlin Hospital was amazing, they saved my life! Ironically, I later found out that the first nurse that helped me was actually a Facebook friend, whom I had never met. It goes to show how small our community can be. I’m living proof that life truly can be short, and we can take it for granted.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have been married for 31 years. We have one son and one daughter. Both live here in the Las Vegas area. I grew up in the Bay area. I have two brothers and one sister.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
For 20+ years I ran a graphic design and printing business. I also ran networking groups to help small businesses in the community thrive. After 2020, I sold my business. I now currently run a mountain bike touring company taking advantage of the beautiful trails we have here. Most of my tours are tourists from all over the world, so I get to share my knowledge of the area with them. My main reason for opening the mountain bike touring company was due to my heart attack and my focus on becoming healthier and fit. You can find out more about my business, Vegas Hyper Adventures at VegasHyper.com.
