I spent my childhood in Las Vegas and after a detour to Chicago, returned with my husband to raise our family here. I have worked in education since returning and currently work for an organization focused on providing career opportunities to youth in underserved areas of our state.
My husband and I have 2 adult children that are living in other parts of the country.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have focused my efforts on K-12 education and now work with youth while in high school and for up to 2 years following. I love the difference just one person can make in a young person's future.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I enjoy Leone Café at Tivoli and Frankies Uptown in Downtown Summerlin.

I have lived and worked in Summerlin since 2000.

The commander of Nellis Air Force Base
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Spain – the architecture and history show how people evolve and adapt as the world changes.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Start every interaction with kindness.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Visit Europe with my friend from kindergarten.

Dolly Parton. She is kindness through and through. I would take her to Vintner Grill – such a beautiful restaurant.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the varied walking paths and nature locations!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I plan to continue my work with young people – there is such a need!

I love to send care packages to brighten someone's day!
